Whole Wheat Bread - Makes 2 loaves
From time to time Cindy makes bread for the family. It is a great winter treat especially with a homemade soup. This recipe yields a fine textured easy to make wheat bread
Ingredients
1 ¾ cup warm water
1 package yeast (1Tbs)
2 Tsp. salt
½ cup Honey
4 Tbs. oil
2 cups bread flour
3 cups whole wheat flour or enough to make the dough firm.
Directions
Combine; 1 ¾ cup warm water, 1 package yeast (1Tbs), 2 Tsp. salt, ½ cup Honey, 4 Tbs. oil, 2 cups bread flour, 3 cups whole wheat flour or enough to make the dough firm.
Mix well using a dough hook until dough forms a clean ball.
Kneed for 5 to 7 minutes.
Divide into 2 equal loafs, place in two loaf pans or on a baking sheet.
Cover with a tea towel and let raise for about an hour.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. to an internal temperature of 205 degrees
